What base colour is the Ultra Dark Mousse?

Our Ultra dark self Tanning Mousse is a green based self tan. This is the most popular self tan base colour and it looks great on most skin types, giving it a natural tan finish. The only thing turning green is the bronzer, which is a temporary colour, this is what is washed off in the morning after you've allowed your tan to develop. The green tone is the initial colour guide application and not the final result. The colour base can be more apparent in lighter skin tones but will develop into a lovely golden bronze.

Is the Ultra Dark Bali Body's darkest self tanner?

Yes, Ultra Dark Self Tanning Mousse is the darkest fake tan possible. Bali Body's original Self Tanning Mousse provides a lighter fake tan.

How long do I leave the Ultra Dark tanner on for?

The Ultra Dark Self Tan can be left on the skin anywhere from 1 hour to 8 hours (overnight) depending on your preferred fake tan colour. The longer the product is left on the skin, the darker it will develop.

How many applications will I get from one bottle of Ultra Dark Self Tanning Mousse?

One bottle of the Ultra Dark Self Tanning Mousse will provide approximately 6-8 full body coats. Usage depends on each individuals application.

Can I apply multiple layers of the Ultra Dark self tanner?

Yes, you can apply as many layers of Ultra Dark self tanner as you like to reach your desired colour. An average of 1-3 layers are generally recommended per application.

Can I use a wet tanning mitt when applying the Ultra Dark tan?

No, a wet tanning mitt will affect the product and its application. Please ensure your tanning mitt is clean and dry before applying self tan on the skin.

Can you use the Ultra Dark self tanner on your face?

    Wow!

    I have used Bondi sands for years, but I wasn’t getting that dark, and my legs were always a different color than the rest of my body. My hands always looked weird too. I decided to get the deep violet mousse in hopes to get darker. Wow, I got dark. I applied it onto my body at night, and washed it off in the morning eight hours later. My hands and feet looked amazing for once. Everything looked smooth and the same color for once. I absolutely hate the coconut scent that Bondi sands always used. The scent from the deep violet is nice and doesn’t linger with you. My skin felt nice with this tanner on too. The only thing I have to complain about, is that it doesn’t dry fast, and it did transfer onto my clothes during the night. That’s my only complaints. I tanned Saturday night and my tan isn’t showing any signs of being patchy and I’m still dark. It fades nicely actually. Definitely done with Bondi sands and sticking with Bali body. I bought the deep violet express mousse too.

    The deepest natural tan i have used.

    Insane tan, as a fair skin girlie i struggle with ultra dark tans as they usually pull muddy or too orange / green.

    Nice Formula, But Not as Dark as Expected

    I recently tried the Ultra Dark Self Tanning Mousse, and overall I think it’s a nice product with a good, skin-safe formula. It applies smoothly and the result can look quite natural.

    That said, I was expecting a deeper, darker result, especially after previously using the Deep Violet shade. On my skin, the “Ultra Dark” didn’t develop as intensely as I had hoped. I’ve also noticed that the result can vary depending on skin type, on some it develops better, while on others it remains lighter. In my case, I needed to apply it at least 3 times to build up the depth of color I was aiming for.

    The undertone is also something to mention. Compared to the Deep Violet, this one came out slightly less greenish, which I appreciated, but still not as deep as expected.

    One small point for improvement would be the packaging. I’ve experienced some leaking around the bottle opening when shaking the product before use, which can get a bit messy. Improving the bottle seal or design would really enhance the overall experience.

    Overall, it’s a good product with nice results, but with a few small improvements, especially in color depth and packaging, it could be even better.
