Need to get rid of a pimple overnight? Gigi Hadid stans toothpaste
'The one beauty tip I always use that my mom passed down was when I get a pimple, I use toothpaste. I just put a little on it at night before I go to sleep. Then I take a wet piece of toilet paper and press it over the top. It dries kind of like a paper mache and it holds in the moisture and the toothpaste. In the morning, you just put a wet towel on it, and it all comes off'.
Can't find your eyelash curler? Miranda Kerr has your back
Have you been getting ready for a night on the town and realised you can't find your eyelash curler? Model, Miranda Kerr uses a household utensil that can be found in every babes top kitchen draw to do the trick. 'Curl your eyelashes with a spoon if you don’t have an eyelash curler, it’s just as good'. How? Run a clean spoon under hot water, pat it dry then press your lashes against the curve of the spoon for 20 seconds on each eye before adding mascara. Genius, right?
Kendall and Kylie do this for flawless skin and makeup
Kylie Cosmetics mogul, Kylie Jenner recommends skipping concealer on your forehead because it can look 'too cakey' and thinks that a good face mist over your finished makeup look is essential for a dewy glow. We hear you, babes. Insert: Hydrating Face & Body Mist. Kylie’s big sister Kendall loves to make her own face masks for surprise blemishes. Kendall recommends applying a well-beaten egg white with juice from half the lemon to your face for 30 minutes before rinsing. If these hacks are good enough for the Jenner duo, they get a huge tick from us.
Nail your high pony with a toothbrush
Have you ever tried mimicking one of Bella Hadid’s high ponytails but ended up with a frizzy heap on top of your head? Celebrity hair stylist, Jen Atkin says 'For a high ponytail I actually do two ponytails in one. Split your hair in half from ear to ear, do your first ponytail by flipping your hair upside down and gather it all up into a ponytail and secure, then do to another ponytail and use a hair bungee to secure it to the first ponytail'. The effect makes your face look pulled, it's essentially a face lift minus the surgery. 'For a super sleek finish my biggest tip is to spray some hairspray on a toothbrush, which gets those little flyaway bits to really lay down'.
This angel believes that good skin starts from inside
Australian Victoria’s Secret model, Bridget Malcolm is a big believer in eating and drinking for your skin. 'I believe that what you are eating and drinking plus how you are living makes the most difference to your skin and skin tone. So I always make sure I drink over a gallon of water a day, get plenty of sleep, and eat a wide variety of brightly coloured fruits and vegetables daily'. Time to exfoliate
If you wondered why Elle Macpherson gets called 'the body' it might be because she loves to exfoliate. ‘Exfoliate, exfoliate! Before a party, I always have a mitt or brush and buff from face to feet before moisturising. It's great for the circulation and getting skin glowing’, she says. Just incase you needed another reason to get dry brushing after our latest blog. It also creates the perfect base for your Bali Body Self Tanning Mousse - double tick!
